fiber optic device industry. Conducted root-cause failure analysis meetings for machines to improve through-put and yield. Worked with ball lens, laser, lead shear, sockets, package, gauges, tooling, and many other areas involving precision tolerancing down to the 9-micron fiber core center.

design of entire machine and/or process project including structure, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems together
with an Electrical Engineer for the P.L.C.control package.
Some projects;
Designed, built and installed salt processing equipment and site layouts for I.S.CO. first bag filling, packaging facility.
Designed, built semi-automatic P.L.C. controlled router machine for sizing plastic sheet. Completed and brought to
market in 8 months. (Autorouter, Model 410-SA)

Inc. and at Ronco. Here I have designed built a number of machines.
Some projects:
Designed built an automatic sheet stacker. Feeds in up to a 5' x 10' plastic sheet, vacuum picks it, off loads and stacks in a pile. Designed built automatic sheet cross cut saw. Machine cuts extruded length plastic to sheet length on the fly. Designed built a motorized chill roll transport vehicle. Used to move 8000 lb rolls in and out of position for changing.

Responsible for day to day engineering functions of in-house staff. Complete turn-key
project responsibility managing projects in a variety of industries. Also responsible for supervising a 12 person
engineering department for all mechanical & electrical projects. Perform all engineering not requiring a P.E. stamp,
including complete design/build turn-key projects. Provide customer contact for all projects, their scope of work, design
reviews, procurement, schedules, costs and proposals. Responsible for design, concept, calculations, checking and
coordination. Also provided all proposal project engineering for R&D, machines, process, industrial and maintenance projects.
Some Projects:
Designed built Gum feeding machines, inserted wrapped 3 cent Bazooka gum onto baseball card stack at 6 per second
prior to wrapping machine.
Design built 4 head high water pressure, (25 gpm @ 9,500 psi), oven belt wash bar.
Designed built and modified wet end forming section of a wall and ceiling
insulation forming line.

- Designed/built abrasive wheel splitting machine. Split in half on diameter a 54"dia. Jet engine cobalt orifice ring.
- Designed/built detonation device cord and tag assembly machine.
- Assisted with design of glass vial and cartridge forming machines. Designed glass
burners, glass separators and conveyors.
- Design and install of Scranton Recycling Center Renovations – conveyor system, collection bin and aluminum separator.
- Design/layout of abrasive material pneumatic conveying systems.
- Designed bulk material handling conveyors, hoppers, chutes and vibratory screen support structures.
- Design and build of Doctor blade and actuators for paper mill.
- Development/design/layout of new equipment for material handling storage
and retrieval systems, such as warehouse carousels and automated ground vehicles.
- Assisted in design of multiple store ejection rack for F-14 jet and oxygen transport vehicle.
- Designed assembly machines for laser guided missile tail section and related fixtures and tools.
- Coordinated/supervised/participated in design/installation of blast freeze spiral
belt cooling system for emulsion explosives.
- Redesigned paper shell making machine to add rows of perforations inside shell.
- Redesigned variable fill mechanism on shell filling machine.
- Hard wire component board design/layout/checking in compliance with Navy specs and standards.
- Redesigned extruder pressing disk turntable for steel tube mill.
